  • Comment: This was dropped and ever since it's just breaking off peice by peice until finally I just had to throw it out. I never had a case that just broke into peices from dropping. It wasn't dropped many time, it was dropped once.

  • Comment: This is my favorite case so far. I call it a "minimal" case. It is good for getting a good grip on the slippery phone. There is not much protection from dropping.

    I had bad luck with the screen protector -- just kept getting dust underneath, and it looked bad, so now I use it without the screen protector. Maybe I will buy some other protectors and try my luck again.

    I got a free Apple "bumper" case, but none of my non-Apple headphone plugs or multipin adapters will go through the case holes (such as the iGo car power adapter), as they are slightly bigger than the openings. On this case the holes are big enough, and the case is thin enough, that all my non-Apple plugs fit so far.

    They could have cut an opening on the back for the Apple logo, for appearance sake, as Elago did on its series of cases for the iPhone 3G.

    Be careful putting it on and taking it off. The buttons and silence switch can catch on the case openings, and I don't think you want to apply much sideways force to them. Just bending the sides slightly when putting it on or taking it off takes care of this. I find this a little tricky and I don't think this is a case you want to be putting on and taking off a lot.

    After several weeks I now see bit of the rubbery/textured-paint coating rubbing off on the edges where I put the phone face down on a surface, showing the black plastic underneath. It is not easy to see and functionally I do not think it is significant.

    When using the phone for turn-by-turn navigation in a car, it warms up quite a bit. I am a little concerned about the case -- any case -- insulating the phone and reducing air cooling. But, this case is thin and that concern will be less on this case than most others, I expect. Regarding this, the Apple bumper is nice as it is open on the back.

  • Comment: Yes, it is beautiful, and sleek, but this case is a complete waste of money. Buyer beware! It is not durable in the least, and will crack, snap or break at the slightest tug. I bought mind in July, and it only lasted about 5 weeks, before it became completely unusable. There are so many other cases out there, I would pass on this one, and find one that won't break when you pull it out of your pocket.

  • Comment: I bought this case after seeing it on a family member's iPhone 4. It's thin, lightweight and smooth. It has cutouts for the speakers, cable, headphone jack, volume, silencer, power, camera and flash. Nothing is obstructed. I don't have any problems gripping the phone. I haven't experienced it yet since I'm very careful but I do suspect that the painted coating will come off easily if the cover is exposed to something sharp and pointy like keys.

    I love that this case came with 2 screen protectors (clear and anti-glare). They are probably the best fitting and easiest to apply protectors I've used on all the various iPhones I've ever owned. They have cutouts for the speaker, home button as well as the front camera. My only complaint is the anti-glare screen protector. It looks somewhat "pebbly" and seems to diminish the beauty of the retina display. I'm not familiar with anti-glare protectors so I don't know if this is how it should be or if there are better anti-glare alternatives out there.
